Judge Jennifer Whang
Judge Whang was appointed as an Administrative Law Judge with the Office of Financial Institution Adjudication in October 2019. Judge Whang was initially appointed as an Administrative Law Judge in July 2009 with the Social Security Administration’s Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (currently Office of Hearings Operations). Subsequently, she worked as an Administrative Law Judge for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals, and the Department of Labor. Prior to becoming an Administrative Law Judge, she was an Attorney Advisor at the United States International Trade Commission, a Trial Attorney at the United States Department of Justice - Tax Division, and a tax consultant at Ernst & Young LLP.
Judge Whang is a graduate of the University of Arizona’s College of Law. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Economics at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. Judge Whang is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and is licensed as a certified public accountant (retired status) from the state of California.
